SUBFREEZING TEMPERATURES THIS MORNING, A MUCH WARMER START THAN WHAT WE WERE REALLY A COUPLE WEEKS AGO. DAMON SINGLETON US NOW WITH THAT. YES, STILL COOL TEMPERATURES OUTSIDE THIS MORNING, MOSTLY CLEAR SKIES, AS YOU CAN SEE PRETTY CLEARLY IN THIS PICTURE. THINK YOU’RE GOING ENJOY WHEN YOU STEP OUT OF THE DOOR FOR THE MOST. BUT THE FOLKS I KNOW ON THE NORTH SHORE WHO MAY NEED A JACKET. MORNING. HERE’S THE REGIONAL PICTURE. THAT FRONTAL BOUNDARY THAT BROUGHT US THE RAIN YESTERDAY, WELL, IT’S OFF THE EAST COAST OF THE UNITED STATES. NOW, HIGH PRESSURE HAS TAKEN OVER OUR WEATHER ACROSS THE SOUTHEASTERN PART OF THE COUNTRY. SO WE’RE LOOKING PRETTY GOOD. BUT AS YOU LOOK WAY OUT WEST, MORE TURBULENT WEATHER FOR PARTS OF CALIFORNIA. SOME OF THAT STRETCHING INTO THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST AS WELL. THAT IS GOING TO BE THE CASE FOR THEM FOR THE NEXT SEVERAL DAYS IN PRACTICALLY ALL WEEK LONG. THEY’RE TO BE DEALING WITH ONE SYSTEM AFTER ANOTHER, MAKING ITS WAY INLAND ACROSS CALIFORNIA AND EVENTUALLY MAKING ITS WAY HERE INTO SOUTHEAST LOUISIANA. BUT NOT TODAY. RADAR PICTURE IS NICE AND CLEAR. IT’S GOING TO STAY WAY FOR MOST OF US ALL DAY LONG TODAY, THERE’S A SLIGHT CHANCE WE’LL SEE AN ISOLATED SHOWER TO THIS AFTERNOON, BUT ONLY A SLIGHT CHANCE THAT TODAY. TOMORROW IS LOOKING LIKE PRETTY NICE DAY WITH SOME MOSTLY SUNNY SKIES ONCE AGAIN. HIGH PRESSURE MOVES OFF TO THE EAST. ON WEDNESDAY. OUR WINDS BECOME OUT OF THE SOUTH BRINGING ALL THE MOISTURE FROM THE GULF OF MEXICO. SO HIGHER TEMPERATURES, HIGHER HUMIDITY, MORE CLOUD COVER WILL BE WITH THIS ON WEDNESDAY AND THEN ON THURSDAY, THAT’S THE DAY THAT THE COLD FRONT GETS HERE AND THAT’S GOING TO BRING SHOWERS AND STORMS TO OUR AREA, MAYBE SOME HEAVY DOWNPOUR HOURS, AD TIME AT TIME. SOME OF THE MODELS HAVE THIS BEEN DONE WITH THIS ABOUT 1:00 IN THE AFTERNOON. THIS SHOWING THE RAINFALL PRETTY HEAVY AT TIMES, EVEN INTO THE AFTERNOON AND EARLY EVENING HOURS. SO THURSDAY IS THE WORST DAY OF THE WEEK. THIS WEEK AFTER THE FRONT PASSES THROUGH FRIDAY, SATURDAY AND SUNDAY, YOU’RE LOOKING LIKE THEY’RE GOING TO BE SOME PRETTY PHENOMENAL DAYS WHERE. NORTHERLY WINDS AND MUCH COOLER TEMPERATURES. SO YOUR HEADLINES ARE MOSTLY SUNNY AND NICE MONDAY. TEMPERATURES ARE ON THE WAY UP FOR THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS THROUGH WEDNESDAY. AND THEN THE COLD FRONT BRINGS RAIN ON THURSDAY. RIGHT NOW, TEMPERATURES ANYWHERE 3 TO 9 DEGREES COOLER THAN THEY WERE AT THIS TIME YESTERDAY, WHICH MEANS MID-FORTIES FOR THE MOST PART ON THE NORTH. SOME FIFTIES DOWN HERE ON, THE SOUTH SHORE. THIS AFTERNOON I’M EXPECTING YOUR HIGHS TO BE IN THE LOW TO MID SIXTIES FOR MOST OF US ON THIS AND PARTLY CLOUDY SKIES AND A SLIGHT CHANCE OF RAIN TONIGHT SOME PARTLY CLOUDY CONDITIONS AREAS OF FOG BUT NOT A LOT OF TEMPERATURE. 41 TO ABOUT 52 DEGREES. AND TOMORROW IT’S LOOKING LIKE A PRETTY NICE DAY WITH THAT CHANCE OF RAIN ONCE AGAIN. HERE’S A QUICK LOOK AT YOUR SEVEN DAY FORECAST. THERE’S THE WARM UP I WAS JUST MAKING REFERENCE TO UPPER SIXTIES. TOMORROW WE’RE IN THE MIDWEST SEVENTIES ON WEDNESDAY WHEN THE WINDS ARE OUT OF THE SOUTH, BRINGING ALL THE MOISTURE AND HIGH HUMIDITY ON THAT DAY. THAT SETS US UP PRETTY NICELY FOR AND STORMS ON THURSDAY AS THAT COLD FRONT MAKES ITS WAY INTO THE AREA. AND THERE’S A LOOK AT FRIDAY, SATURDAY AND SUNDAY, SOM
