SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — A woman died after being hit by a vehicle at a home in Escondido Thursday night, the Escondido Police Department said.
Police said officers and fire paramedics were called to a home in the 1600 block of South Maple Street around 9:40 p.m. for reports of a collision between a vehicle and a woman on private property.
According to police, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene despite immediate medical intervention by first responders.
The woman’s identity has not yet been released, but the police department did say she was an Escondido resident.
Police said no arrests have been made at this time.
The crash is under investigation by the Escondido Police Traffic and Investigations Department.
