A tractor-trailer has crashed into a home damaging its foundation and also leaving two cars damaged.Caleb Watkins was sitting on the couch at home when a tractor-trailer unexpectedly crashed into the garage.”It was just a big bang, and I heard my cousin screaming,” Watkins said.Watkins and his cousin were there when the wreck happened around 1 p.m. Saturday.”So, I ran all the way through my house right through there, I ran all the way there, and I just see a truck, in my house,” Watkins said.The truck knocked out the garage door and collided with the two cars parked inside.”This is my house. My only house, my only transportation and all of this is involved, and I don’t know what the outcome is going to be,” said Kay Watkins, owner of the home.Kay lives in the house with her grandson Caleb and daughter.She is now trying to figure out how to get everyone where they need to be come Monday.”My daughter works, I work, we have to take my grandson to school, I don’t know what we are going to do. I just don’t have the means to go out and buy a new car today, and I’m not really sure full assessment of all the damage done yet,” Kay Watkins said. And a close call for their family as another grandchild nearly escaped death.”My cousin, he’s lucky to be alive. He was standing like two inches away from the iron gate. If those two cars hadn’t been under there, that would have just completely flattened him,” Caleb Watkins said. No one was in the truck at the time and no one was injured.Jackson police are investigating the incident. Hall Engineering is the construction company in charge of the truck and they said the truck was not properly parked. The company was demolishing a house across the street.
